The hotel, the premier lodging facility at the Grand Canyon, opened its doors in 1905 and was most recently renovated in 2005. In the past, the hotel has hosted such luminaries as Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Western author Zane Grey, and many others. The air-conditioned hotel also offers a 24-hour check-out service.
This modern 2-storey, 49-room lodge was totally renovated in 1997. Guests check in at the neighbouring El Tovar Hotel. This unique property is one of the closest to the South Rim.
