Air Arabia Receives Its First Airbus A320neo Aircraft
October 2025Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced the delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft, part of a 120-aircraft order placed with Airbus in 2019.
The new aircraft joins Air Arabia’s existing fleet of 83 A320 family aircraft, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the airline’s network expansion plans. The A320neo will enter service on October 1, 2025, with its inaugural flight from Sharjah to Bangkok.
Chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Thani stated that this milestone represents a significant step in strengthening Air Arabia’s fleet and sustainability strategy, while CEO Adel Al Ali highlighted that the new model will help reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 20%.
