Forest Beach on Hilton Head is located at the east end of Pope Avenue - the main corridor to the Hilton Head commercial beach area. Adjacent to Shipyard and north of Sea Pines along the ocean, Forest Beach is divided into two areas by the Coligny traffic circle and the beautiful Town of Hilton Head Island Beach Park. The shops, dining and activity of popular Coligny Plaza, the informal heart of the island, is adjacent to the circle, across from the park, and is part of North Forest Beach. In addition to Coligny Plaza, North Forest Beach offers oceanfront homes, villas and luxury condominiums. South Forest Beach offers additional oceanfront and near ocean vacation homes and condominiums, as well as hotels. Extensive off-road bike and walking paths, meandering picturesquely over bridges and through lush foliage, make it easy to leave your car parked and walk or bike to most of the nearby attractions and beautiful beaches. At the west end of Pope Avenue is Compass Rose Park, a shady respite with a Wi-Fi Hot Spot, shady picnic area and refreshing water features, which marks the informal beginning of the Forest Beach vacation area. Churches for most denominations are also located in the neighborhood. For your convenience, a seasonal complimentary shuttle -tips only- operates to take you where you need to go in the Forest Beach area.
