Ciutadella's old town is surrounded by the "Contramurada", a street running around the town where originally the city wall would have been. The town is a maze of narrow Arabic and medieval streets. The horn shaped harbour is long and narrow, and has several popular places to eat and drink. There is a variety of shops, bars and restaurants available locally and Ciutadella has a lively but upmarket nightlife.
