Although the official category of the hotel is deluxe, this is not really a reference to the standard of the hotel which is that of a basic first class. However, this product is simply unique and deluxe in terms of the many, many unique experiences it offers which include a museum dedicated totally to the life of the Bolivian people and their history which tracks the history of the country and in particular the Lake Titicaca area ending with an encounter with a spiritual natural medicine doctor and fortune teller. There is also a Andean Eco Village showing the authentic traditions and cultures of the local people, mud igloos and floating islands depicting the Urus Chipaya culture, a handicraft village, an altiplano museum, an Andean fauna a native chapel and finally the Alapacha Native Observatory. It is, in short, a complex recreating every possible tradition of the Bolivian culture and a show of Bolivian knowledge and nature.
The hotel is situated in the town of Huatajata directly on the banks of the famous Lake Titicaca.
The hotel is formed of two blocks. Both are formed of white stone with terracotta bricks and roofing.
LobbyThe lobby is medium in size and incorporates two seating areas with plenty of local flora and shrubbery for decoration. It is furnished in a traditional style with terracotta brick walls, cream carpeted floors and a wood reception area.
