The palace-like construction dating back to the 19th century was renovated in 2006 and comprises a total of 69 rooms spread across five floors. It was once a meeting place for the bourgeoisie and the city's intellectual and political elite. Guests are welcomed in the foyer of the air-conditioned building with a 24-hour reception desk and lifts.
