The GRAN BAHIA PRINCIPE EL PORTILLO is a Tourist hotel. Located in Las Terrenas area. Shopping is accessible by bus/taxi and the nightlife/restaurants are easily accessible by taxi or bus from the hotel.

This stylish hotel is centrally located directly next to El Portillo beach and only 4 km from the centre of the tourist resort of Las Terrenas (Samana). The hotel lies in a quiet and idyllic location, surrounded by large palm trees in the middle of a tropical nature area. Flip-flops are recommended due to the offshore coral reefs. The transfer time is approximately 4 hours to Puerto Plata airport. Built in 2001, this hotel comprises a 3-storey building with a total of 148 double rooms. The main building is designed in tropical style in the reception and includes, a hairdresser's salon and a shop. Furthermore, guests are offered 5 bars, a nightclub, a TV room and 2 air-conditioned restaurants as well as an open-air restaurant with a cover. A public Internet terminal is also on offer. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the hotel's car park or garage facilities. A laundry service rounds off the facilities on offer. The stylish rooms come with a bathroom or shower room, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a fridge (soft drinks and beer included), air conditioning, a balcony or terrace and a hire safe. All of the rooms are decorated in a Caribbean style and feature a ceiling fan. There are 2 swimming pools available for use in the grounds with sun loungers, parasols (by the pool and on the beach), poolside snack bar, children's pool and Jacuzzi.
